Preliminary Program
With the exception of the dinner on 14 September, all events will
take place at Heinz
Nixdorf MuseumsForum.
13 September
participants arrive
9:00 The museum opens. Participants and accompanying persons can
visit the museum for free (highly recommended!)
17:00 Get your welcome bag at the checkin at the museum's main
entrance
17:00 (Bistro, downstairs) Welcome evening with dinner
The welcome evening includes:
a panel discussion with Harry Achtnig, who earned his living for
many years as a mental calculator on stage
HECTOC Challenge (open for everyone, see here for
the HECTOC rules)
Food and beverages will be provided. There will be a buffet
offering vegetarian dishes as well.
Please tell us in advance if you arrive later than 18:00 (the
museum's entrance will close at this time for the general public)
14 September
9:00-14:00 Contest, part I
Food will be available on 13:00-15:00 at the place where we met on
Friday.
17:00-18:00 mental calculation show
19:00-23:00 dinner at Welcome

Food will be available on 13:00-15:00 at the place where we met on
Friday.
after the contest: guided museum tour at world's largest computer
museum
(A tour in English language (for MCWC only) starts at 14:45. It is
limited to 25 persons. Participants who speak German can join the
public tour which starts at 15:00. In addition, you can take the
tour using a free audio-guide)
17:00 award ceremony (end: about 18:00)
