The smallest spinning wheel was built in 1994 by Peter Both,
Rostock (Germany). The dimensions of this miniature spinning
wheel: 3.65 cm x 2.4 cm x 2.1 cm. The wheel diameter is 1.2 cm.

In 2012, Yogesh Barnela ( Bhiwani, Haryana, India) created an
even smaller spinning wheel measuring 6 mm (length), 7 mm (width)
and 5.5 mm (height).
Itl was made from matchstick, broomstick, steel wire, plastic wire
and thread. It weights 60 milligrams.
