World Marathon Fitness Challenge

The Quest For Being World's Fittest

Maybe the touhgest "pentathlon" was done by in 1977 by Alan Jones (USA):
60 mile bike while the elevation was rising one mile, 30 miles cross-country run through a blizzard, 20 miles swimming down-river, 17 miles running (back to Portland, Oregon), cleaning & jerking 80 lb for 73 reps.
and on another occasion:
1000 sit-ups, running and walking 199 miles (in 91 hours), bench pressing 100 lb for 100 reps in about 10 minutes, jerking the own bodyweight once a minute for 24 hours, snatching 75 lb 1602 reps in 20 hours.

Later, a set of thirteen fitness exercise became the standard for endurance competitions. The exercises and number of reps were modified from time to time, but now the challenge is for completing the following fitness programme in the fastest time:
The record breaker can decide any order in which the parts are completed. However, each exercise must be completed before starting a new one. (For example, it would not be allowed to do 1000 push-ups, then running 12 miles and afterwards completing the remaining 250 push-ups).
