Tasha-Nicole set a new world record of 137 touches in 30 seconds on the "Today" TV Show in New York on August 27th, 2003.
The Atlanta Silverbacks would like to congratulate Tasha-Nicole
Terani
on officially setting the Women's World Record for Speed Juggling at
Dekalb
Memorial Stadium on Saturday, February 22nd 2003. We were proud
sponsors
of the World Record Event!
The official new women's world record is 123 touches in 30 seconds, now
held by Ms. Terani. She was able to shatter the old
record of 92 touches, previously held by Mary McVeigh (set in
1999).
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the speed juggling
record
is obtained by getting the most touches on a standard soccer ball in a
30 second period, without the ball having touched the ground.
Terani will also join the Atlanta Silverbacks at several of their home
games this year to exhibit her considerable skills in juggling and to
help
others learn the art.
"I believe juggling promotes balance, ball control and discipline",
says Ms. Terani. "It's a critical skill that every player should have
and I want to help others learn to develop it."
The 28-year-old Terani was raised in Westlake Village California, where
she went to Westlake High School, the same alma mater that produced the
U.S. Men's National team players, Eric Wynalda and Cobi Jones.
